TPD Detectives Want to Identify Skimmer Suspect (2017/09/21)

STATUS: OPEN
On September 1, 2017 two skimmers were found on each of the ATMs at the SunTrust Bank located at 1701 East 7th Avenue in Ybor City.  The skimmers were placed on the machines by an unknown white male at 7:12 p.m.  The suspect was captured on the surveillance video and was seen wearing a dark colored floppy hat and dark t-shirt.  The suspect returned at 9:38 p.m. and believed to be testing the skimmers by making a transaction.  Law enforcement believe the suspect may be either Hispanic or Middle Eastern, in his late 20's, medium build, black or brown hair cut low, a full beard and was wearing a white Armani Exchange shirt.

HCSO Detectives Work to Identify Pharmacy Burglary Suspects (2017/09/13)

STATUS: OPEN
Between September 10, 2017 at 10:24 p.m. and September 11, 2017 at 12:52 a.m., three suspects entered the CVS Pharmacy located at 5905 Highway 301 South in Riverview through the receiving door.  Once inside, the suspects loaded $1,305 worth of merchandise including diapers and shampoo into three shopping carts.  The suspects also took a large quantity of prescription medications.  The suspects were wearing all black clothing, gloves and face masks. One suspect was wearing a black jacket with a distinctive logo on the back.

HCSO Detectives Look for Suspects Who Used Stolen Truck to Enter Store (2017/09/12)

STATUS: OPEN
On September 10, 2017 at approximately 10:39 p.m., a 4-door, white, F150 was backed in to the front of Teresa's Food Mart located at 11723 15th Street North in Tampa.  The suspects exited the truck and entered the store through the broken glass.  The unknown race suspects can be seen taking various items from the store.  A truck matching this description was stolen on the same day.  The suspects can be seen on surveillance video wearing dark clothing and hoodies.

HCSO Detectives Ask for Information from the Public in Double Homicide (2017/09/12)

STATUS: SOLVED
On September 12, 2017 at approximately 1:30 a.m., a shooting occurred at the Chevron gas station located at 7710 Madison Avenue in Tampa.  Two subjects were shot near the gas pumps and died as a result of their injuries.  The victims have been identified as Dremaine Vashaun Johnson, 24 yoa and James J. Nicholas, 23 yoa, who are both from the Progress Village area.  (Photos of victims.)

HCSO Detectives Search for Suspects Who Took Over $38,000 in Dirt Bikes (2017/09/12)

On September 11, 2017 several unknown suspects entered the Tampa Bay Power Sports located at 13521 Florida Avenue North in Tampa after ramming the side of the business with an unknown type vehicle.  While inside, the suspects selected 7 dirt bikes valued at over $38,000 and took them from the store.  The suspects also caused damage to multiple motorcycles by pushing them over, breaking mirrors and tearing bumpers off.

TPD Detectives Investigate Pharmacy Robbery (2017/09/08)

On September 8, 2017  at 9:45 a.m., an unknown black male entered the Express Special Pharmacy located at 4111 Henderson Boulevard in Tampa. The suspect demanded prescription drugs while displaying a firearm.  At some point a struggle ensued with the victim employee. The suspect was captured on surveillance video and is described as a black male, 35-45 yoa, 6', medium build, dark complexion, short black hair with a receding hair line, prescription glasses and last seen wearing black pants, white tank top, black mask and gray hoodie.

HCSO Detectives Search for Lithia Bank Robbery Suspect (2017/09/05)

STATUS: OPEN
On September 5, 2017 at 2:32 p.m., an unknown white male entered the Fifth Third Bank located at 16509 Fishhawk Boulevard in Lithia while wearing a baseball hat and sunglasses.  The suspect approached a teller, stated it was a robbery and demanded money.  The suspect said that he had someone waiting outside.  After receiving cash, the suspect fled the bank on foot.  The suspect is described as a white male, approximately 30 yoa, 5'07", thin build, wearing a black shirt with a white t-shirt underneath, blue jeans, glasses and a khaki colored baseball hat with with a navy color bill.

On August 23, 2017 an altercation between two subjects occurred at the Travelodge at 2901 Busch Boulevard East in Tampa which escalated to one subject shooting at the other.  An unknown black male wearing a black shirt and pants and was caught on surveillance video shooting a handgun.  The other subject is a black male who was wearing a red shirt, black shorts and driving a gray or silver Buick.  Detectives also believe that a light colored or silver Mitsubishi being driven by an unknown subject was also involved.

TPD Detectives Ask for Information from the Public to Identify Suspects Involved in Shooting (2017/09/01)

On August 22, 2017 at 12:40 a.m., Curtis Cunningham Jr. was entering a vehicle at North Tampa Street and East Adalee Street in Tampa when three unknown black males confronted him and his friends.  A physical altercation ensued between the subjects and at some point one of the suspect's shot Curtis Cunningham, who died as a result of his injuries.  The suspects, who are described as black males, 12-16 yoa, 5'04" to 5'06", thin build and wearing white or black shirts, ran north from Adalee Street after the shooting.

FHP Investigators Ask the Public for Information in Death Investigation (2017/09/01)

STATUS: OPEN
On July 8, 2017 at approximately 2:05 a.m., the victim, Dylan Garland, 25 yoa, was found injured on the roadway of Highway 301 near the intersection of Globe Road in Dade City, within Pasco County.  He had suffered life threatening injuries and was take by helicopter to a local hospital where he succumbed to the injuries and died a couple days later.  Dylan was last seen just after midnight drinking at the Lighthouse Bar located at 5025 Treiman Boulevard, Dade City, within Hernando County.  It is believed that Dylan was walking to his residence at The Circle of Veterans & Families in Dade City as he is a veteran of the United States Navy.

USF PD Ask for Information from the Public to Identify Robbery Suspect on Tampa Campus (2017/08/30)

STATUS: OPEN
On August 26, 2017 between 6:00 p.m. and 6:30 p.m., an unknown black male approached the victim near the Interdisciplinary Science Building on the Tampa Campus of the University of South Florida.  The suspect produced a $50 bill while asking for change.  As the victim took money from her purse, the suspect snatched the cash from her hands then fled on foot toward parking lot 8A.  The suspect is described as a black male, 30-40 yoa, 6'02", 180-200 lbs., medium build, medium complexion, short hair, goatee and was last seen wearing a teal polo shirt, "washed out" jean shorts and white shoes.  The suspect was carrying a dark colored backpack.

TPD Detectives Work to Investigate Early Morning Burglary (2017/08/29)

On August 14, 2017 at approximately 3;56 a.m., an unknown suspect used a pry bar to force entry into Hawkeyes Pizza located at 10854 Cross Creek Boulevard in Tampa.  Once inside, the suspect entered the Mobile gas station which is connected with a door.  The suspect took cash and merchandise then fled the area.  The suspect was caught on surveillance video and is described as a male, 5'07"-5'09", 175-180lbs., short dark hair, sideburns (possible facial hair) and last seen wearing a dark colored baseball hat, dark colored bandana over his face, dark t-shirt, dark pants, dark shoes, dark gloves with designs on the fingers and carrying a red bag.

TPD Detectives Investigate Subway Robbery (2017/08/28)

STATUS: IN CUSTODY
On August 26, 2017 at 8:19 p.m., an unknown Hispanic male entered the Subway located at 5502 Dale Mabry Highway South in Tampa, ordered a sandwich, then proceeded to the register.  The suspect retrieved a syringe from his pocket, approached an employee and threatened to use the syringe while demanding cash.  After receiving cash from the register, the suspect fled the business.  The suspect was caught on surveillance video and is described as a white male, 19-24 yoa, 6', dark hair, wearing dark rim prescription glasses, a black t-shirt with a white logo on the left front and large white writing on the back and dark shorts.  The suspect has tattoos on his right forearm.

New Port Richey Detectives Search for Suspect Using Distraction Technique to Steal Cash (2017/08/28)

STATUS: OPEN
On August 19, 2017 at approximately 4:28 p.m., an unknown white female entered the Publix located at 5127 US Highway 19 in New Port Richey, approached the Customer Service counter and asked for change of six (6) $100 bills with all $20 bills.  The suspect used a distraction technique while asking for all $50 bills.  As the clerk turned to comply with the request, the suspect reached over the counter taking $600 of money belonging to Publix.  Detectives believe this suspect used the same technique to take money at another Publix in Pasco County on the same day.  The suspect is described as a white female, early 20's, thin build, dark hair and wearing dark clothing.  The suspect might be traveling with a Hispanic male, early 20's.  Both subjects were traveling in a dark colored mini van with a temporary tag.

HCSO Detectives Investigate Robbery at Speedy Select (2017/08/28)

STATUS: ARRESTED

On August 27, 2017 at 10:16 p.m., two suspects entered the Speedy Select at 7712 Riverview Drive in Riverview while armed with handguns.  Suspect #1 pointed a silver revolver at the clerk while suspect #2 went behind the counter and emptied the cash drawer and took Cigarellos.  Suspect #2 displayed a black semi-automatic handgun.  Just before suspect #1 exited the store he fired one round at the clerk, missing him by inches.  Both suspects fled in a what is believed to be a silver or light color, 2000-2006 model Nissan Sentra, 4-door.  The suspects traveled southbound on 78th Street then eastbound on Riverview Drive.
 
Suspect #1 is described as a white or Hispanic male, thin build, approximately 5'06", wearing a black hoodie with red Nike logo, white t-shirt over his face, long black shorts, black shoes and carrying a silver revolver.  Suspect #2 is described as a white or Hispanic male, heavy set, approximately 5'10", wearing a black hoodie, black mask, black pants, red/black/blue shoes, backpack and carrying a black semi-automatic handgun.

HCSO Detectives Investigate Riverview Vehicle Burglaries (2017/08/28)

STATUS: OPEN

On August 27, 2017 between 3:00 a.m. and 6:30 a.m., three unknown suspects entered several unlocked vehicles within the South Fork and Belmont Subdivisions in Riverview.  The suspects took personal property including checkbooks, sunglasses, credit cards, etc.  Law enforcement believe the suspects utilized a taxi service to leave the area as a stolen credit card was used to pay for the cab fee.  Surveillance video within the neighborhood captured the suspects trying a vehicle's door.
 
The suspects are described as:  #1 - black male, 15-18 yoa, 5'07", thin build, black hair with short twists and wearing a black t-shirt, black pants and black gloves.  #2 - white male, 15-18 yoa, 5'06", thin build, short hair and wearing a ball cap (possibly red) and gloves. #3 - Hispanic/white male, 15-18 yoa, 5'06", thin build, black curly hair and wearing Suede Super Puma shoes.

Pasco Detectives Ask for Information from the Public In Identifying Home Invasion Suspect (2017/08/24)

On August 23, 2017 at approximately 12:45 p.m., an unknown suspect entered the residence at 26748 Magnolia Boulevard in Wesley Chapel while armed with a firearm.  The suspect struck the elderly victim who sustained non-life threatening injuries.  The suspect took firearms, credit cards and prescription medication from the residence.  The suspect is described as a black male, 25-30 yoa, muscular build and was wearing a polo shirt and carrying a black backpack.  (See composite sketch of the suspect.)

HCSO Detectives Investigate Robbery of Necklace (2017/08/24)

On August 19, 2017 at approximately 6:30 a.m., an unknown black male approached the victim in the parking lot of the Marathon gas station located at 1444 Fletcher Avenue East in Tampa.  The suspect ripped off the victim's necklace and fled on a dark colored bicycle north on 15th Street North.  The suspect was described as a black male, 22-29 yoa, approximately 5'10" to 6'0", 190-215 lbs., shoulder length dreadlocks and was wearing a white tank top, long jean shorts and black sandals.

TPD Detectives Work to Identify Shooting Suspects (2017/08/23)

STATUS: OPEN
On August 18, 2017 at approximately 8:54 p.m., the victim was walking home from the Mobile gas station located at 4242 Busch Boulevard East in Tampa when he observed a 2000's model Nissan Sentra, white in color, with tinted windows and a spoiler, circle the block several times.  Once the victim reached the 9600 block of Connechusett Road North, the occupants exited the vehicle and fired at the victim, striking him in the hand.  The suspects fled in the vehicle southbound on Connechusett Road.  Surveillance video captured at the Mobile gas station show the two suspects and the suspect vehicle.  
 
Suspect #1 is described as a Hispanic male, mid 20's, approximately 5'07", 150 lbs. and Suspect #2 is described as a black male, mid 20's, approximately 6'0", 175 lbs., dreadlocks, goatee and possibly has a tattoo on the right side of his neck and his left forearm.
