On January 4, 2017 at the T-Mobile store located at 3601 Henderson Boulevard in Tampa an unknown suspect used a credit card under fraudulent means.  The suspect purchased an iPhone 7, headphones, a phone case and speaker system valued at $1,094.87.  The suspect was caught on surveillance video and is a white/Hispanic male, in his 20`s, slender build, as a full sleeve of tattoos on his right arm and was wearing a white hat and a white shirt with black horizontal stripes.

TPD Detectives Work to Identify Fraudulent Check Suspect

On September 19, 2016 an unknown black female deposited a check for $2,400 through the ATM at SunTrust at 2208 Fowler Avenue East in Tampa.  The following day, the same amount was taken out through another SunTrust ATM on 56th Street.  On September 23, 2016 the bank was notified the check was drawn on a closed account.  Investigation has revealed that the account might have been opened by using a stolen identity.  Detectives believe that the same suspect made the deposit and withdrawal.  ATM surveillance captured the suspect and she is described as a black female, late 30`s to 40`s, short black hair, tattoos on her chest and back, a piercing on her upper left cheek and was wearing a blue dress.

PCPD Detectives Ask the Public for Information in Shooting
February 22, 2017

On February 8, 2017 at 6:00 p.m., three black male subjects approached two black males who were sitting in a vehicle in front of 1309 Tennessee Street East in Plant City.  Two of the black males exited the vehicle while armed and approached the victims.  The suspects forced the victims out of the vehicle at gunpoint and into the residence.  The victims attempted to escape, at which time the suspects began shooting.  One adult male victim suffered multiple gun shot wounds.  A female juvenile victim and a pit bull puppy were also shot.  The armed suspects left the area in what is believed to be a newer model, pearl white, Cadillac CTS with matching pearl white rims, a sunroof and dark tinted windows.

Two suspects were described as black males, medium height, thin build and wearing black hoodies and ski masks.  The suspects were armed with black semi-automatic handguns.  The driver of the vehicle was described as a black male, chubby and long dreads.

TPD Detectives Work to ID Walgreens Robbery Suspect

On February 18, 2017 at 10:55 p.m., an unknown black male entered the Walgreens located at 1860 Fowler Avenue East in Tampa, waited for customers to leave then approached the clerk.  The suspect implied he had a gun in his pocket and demanded the clerk to open the register.  The clerk refused, so the suspect went behind the counter and took three cartons of Newport cigarettes and fled the store on foot.  The suspect was described as an adult black male, approximately 5`08" and wearing a grey sweatshirt that possibly had a pint/white design near the right pocket, black gym shorts with a white stripe on the sides, white sneakers with black accents and a plain black ball cap.

HCSO Detectives Search for Early Morning Robbery Suspect

STATUS: ARRESTED

On February 21, 2017 at approximately 3:23 a.m., an unknown suspect entered the Speedway gas station located at 13179 Highway 301 South in Riverview while armed with a shotgun or similar type gun.  The suspect approached the clerk and demanded money from the register.  The suspect fled out the door with the cash in a southern direction.  The suspect possibly headed toward The Grove at SouthShore apartment complex.  This is the third armed robbery at the Speedway since January.  Detectives believe that this same suspect might be responsible for the robbery that occurred on January 9, 2017 at 2:51 a.m. and on January 18, 2017 at 2:46 a.m.

The suspect is an unknown race male, approximately 5`05", thin build and was wearing a green Nike sweatshirt, blue pants, black/white shoes, gloves and an orange bear mask.  The suspect was armed with a shotgun or similar type gun.

Update:  On February 20, 2017 at 5:04 a.m., an unknown black male, 16-24 yoa, thin build and wearing an orange or red jacket with a green hoodie underneath was seen walking around the inside of the Walgreens for several minutes.  Minutes earlier, the same subject was seen on surveillance video outside the Walgreens wearing a bear mask.  Detectives believe that this subject is the suspect in the Speedway robbery that occurred on February 21, 2017.  Surveillance photos obtained from the Walgreens located at 10427 Big Bend Road in Riverview.

TPD Detectives Investigate Burglary at Car Lot

On February 9, 2017 at approximately 7:37 p.m., an unknown black male climbed over the fence to Tru Auto located at 6817 Florida Avenue North in Tampa.  Once inside the secure property, the suspect took a flashlight, circular saw and torx bit set valued at approximately $525.00.  The suspect was caught on surveillance video and is described as a black male, 30-40 yoa, possibly having tattoos on both forearms and last seen wearing a black t-shirt, gray sweatpants, white shoes and a baseball hat.  The hat is possibly a gray New England Patriots hat with a gold sticker on the top of the bill.  The suspect was also wearing a long necklace with what is believed to be military style dog tags.

TPD Detectives Want to ID Suspect Who Placed Skimmer on ATM
February 15, 2017

On February 11, 2017 at approximately 2:30 p.m., a customer found a skimming device on an ATM at the GTE Financial Credit Union located at 711 Dale Mabry Highway South in Tampa.  The customer felt resistance when they inserted their card into the card reader.  Cameras on the ATM revealed the skimmer was placed on the machine on February 11, 2017 at approximately 2:02 p.m.  The photo shows the suspect is a white male, in his late 20`s to mid 30`s with brown hair.  It is unknown at this time what type of vehicle the suspect was driving.

TPD Detectives Work to Identify Robbery Suspect
February 13, 2017

On December 6, 2016 a young adult female was approached by an unknown black male at the Family Dollar located at 8727 40th Street North in Tampa.  The male asked the female to purchase a pack of cigarettes for him and gave her $5.00 and change.  The clerk advised the female she did not have enough money, so she left the money with the clerk.  The male confronted the female as she left the store by striking her in the face and taking her phone while saying that she owed him a dollar.  The victim attempted to tell him that she did not take his dollar, at which time the suspect swung her to the ground and sat on top of her while he was saying the she was going to pay him the money or have sex with him.  The female was able to get away and flee, however, the male followed her on a bicycle where he confronted her again by wrapping his arms around her while telling her again that she was going to have sex with him or pay him the dollar she owed him.  The male suspect grabbed the victim`s small purse from her back pocket then fled by jumping over a fence.

TPD Detectives Ask for Information from the Public in Fatal Shooting of Teen

On February 11, 2017 at approximately 10:30 p.m., two groups of subjects interacted with each other at 1015 Lily White Court, near 7th Avenue & Nuccio Parkway in Tampa.  The interaction escalated to a disturbance.  For an unknown reason, gunfire by multiple subjects began.  As a result, three teens were struck by bullets.  Two victims received non-life threatening injuries.  Tee`on Milledge, 17yoa, was killed as a result of the injuries he sustained.

HCSO Detectives Want to Identify Burglary Suspects

On January 21, 2017 at 7:19 p.m., an unknown black male entered the victim`s vacant home at 2706 Little Road in Valrico through the doggy door located at the rear of the residence.  On January 22, 2017 at 6:05 p.m., two unknown white males and the black male were captured on video surveillance coming and going from the residence using the doggy door.  The suspects ransacked the home and took a flat screen television and other property. 

The black male was identified as Joaun Evan Wright, 4/9/1997.  Detectives arrested Wright on February 3, 2017 charging him with Burglary of an Unoccupied Dwelling and Criminal Mischief.  The two unknown white males are believed to be in their early 20`s, 5`02-5`03 and 130-140 lbs.

HCSO Detectives Work To Identify Robbery Suspects

On February 4, 2017 at approximately 9:41 p.m., two black males entered the Family Dollar Store located at 7511 56th Street North in Tampa and immediately demanded money from the clerk.  One of the suspects was armed with a silver handgun which possibly had a laser sight.  The suspects fled the store on foot.  The same two suspects traveled in an unknown vehicle to the Family Dollar located at 4978 Busch Boulevard East in Tampa and attempted another robbery eight minutes later.  The suspects did not obtain money during either robbery.

The first suspect is described as a black male, 17-24 yoa, 5`07", thin/medium build, last seen wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, red knit cap, black pants, black gloves and brown Timberland style work boots.  The second suspect is described as a black male, 17-24 yoa, 5`07", thin/medium build, last seen wearing a black long-sleeved shirt, black shirt around his mouth/nose, sunglasses, black pants and black boots.

TPD Detectives Ask for Help to Identify Suspects Using Compromised Credit Card

Between November 7, 2016 and November 14, 2016 two unknown males used a compromised credit card at several Grow Financial Credit Union ATMs in Tampa, Bradenton and Lakeland.  The subjects made numerous withdrawals using the same credit card that were eventually charged back as the card was not valid.  To date, the transactions have resulted in a loss of $35,260.00 to Grow Financial Credit Union.

The suspects were captured on the ATM cameras.  (See photos)  The first suspect is a white male, in his 50`s, heavy set, bald and wearing a light blue button up shirt.  The second suspect is in his 30`s, facial stubble and was seen wearing a dark colored sweatshirt and ball cap.  The suspects were seen on video in a newer model (2015-2016), 4-door, Dodge Ram Hemi truck, possibly red in color, side running boards and a decal of "Salt Life" on the top left side of the tailgate.  The truck also has a hitch below the bumper.

TPD Detectives Search for Suspects Using Stolen Credit Card

On January 1, 2017 an unknown suspect entered the victim`s unlocked vehicle while it was parked at the SunTrust Bank located at 4545 Himes Avenue North in Tampa and took a purse which contained credit cards, sterling silver jewelry, identification and cash.  A stolen credit card was used at the Home Depot stores located at 8815 Florida Avenue North and at 5125 Dale Mabry Highway South in Tampa.  Store surveillance video of the transactions showed an unknown black female, in her 30`s, wearing a light-colored dress and holding an infant along with an unknown black male, in his 30`s, long dreadlocks tied back into a pony tail purchasing electric tools.  The suspects were seen utilizing a light blue, early 2000`s model Mercury Grand Marquis or Ford Crown Victoria to leave the stores.

On November 19, 2016 an unknown subject took the victim`s wallet that contained credit cards and cash from a table a the Marriott Waterside located at 700 Florida Avenue South in Tampa.  The suspect attempted to use one of the stolen credit cards at the Target in Riverview the same day as a means to purchase $2,000 in merchandise.  The suspect was caught on surveillance video.

HCSO Detectives Search For Business Robbery Suspect

On February 2, 2017 at approximately 12:46 a.m., a black male entered the BP located at 10907 Highway 92 East in Seffner and chose an 8-pack of Bud Light Beer and Pork Crackins chips.  The suspect approached the cash register and placed his right hand into his pocket insinuating that he had a firearm.  The suspect told the clerk he would shoot if he did not receive $40.  The suspect fled the store with cash.  The suspect is described as a black male, 35-40 yoa, 6`-6`03", 180-200 lbs., bald, possibly has a scar under his left eye and was wearing a black Jordan zip-up hoodie and red sweatpants.

HCSO Detectives Search for Lawn Equipment Thieves

On January 25, 2017 at approximately 10:45 p.m., an unknown suspect entered a fenced-in carport at the Tampa Family Health Center located at 302 Fletcher Avenue West in Tampa.  The suspect broke into an enclosed utility trailer and took Stihl lawn equipment valued at over $6,000.  An unknown suspect arrived in a Ford F150 crew cab truck, at which time they loaded the stolen equipment (leaf blower, 2 chainsaws, hedge trimmer, edger, week whacker and large brush cutter) into the truck and fled north through the parking lot to Fletcher Avenue.

HCSO Detectives Search for Day Time Burglary Suspects

On January 30, 2017 at 12:53 p.m., three black males entered the fenced in yard to 2037 Wexford Green Drive and gained entry into the residence through the rear sliding glass door.  Once inside, the suspects took a Samsung 50" flat screen television, an adult Honda red/white dirt bike and a youth Kawasaki or Suzuki fluorescent green/white dirt bike from the garage.  The suspects loaded the property into a white Ford F150.  The suspects were confronted by a neighbor at which time one of the suspects in the truck fired two rounds.  The total value of the stolen property is $13,000.  The black male suspects were described as being 18-23 yoa.  The F150 is white and has a tan stripe on the bottom from fender to fender and a green Florida specialty tag with a fish on it and begins with "TE".

HCSO Detectives Work to Identify Theft Suspect

On January 30, 2017 at approximately 8:58 p.m., an unknown black male entered the Walmart located at 11110 Causeway Boulevard in Brandon and selected a crowbar that was on display.  The suspect used the crowbar to pry open a cash register drawer in the Garden Center.  The suspect took $343.00 in cash from the register and fled, jumping a fence and heading in a southern direction.  The suspect was captured on surveillance video and is described as a black male, 5`08"-6`02", 160-170lbs. and wearing a white shirt with a blue stripe and dark colored jeans.

Law enforcement believe that this same suspect is responsible for a similar theft that occurred at a Walmart in St. Cloud earlier in January.
