TPD Detectives Work to ID This Smoke Shop Robber

STATUS: OPEN
On December 16th, 17th and 18th three armed robberies took place at three different smoke shops. Two of the robberies took place within Tampa and the third one took place in Temple Terrace. It appears that the same person is involved in all three crimes.  In the most recent robbery the suspect was seen wearing a construction helmet and an older red Mercedes was seen in the area.  The suspect takes the cash from the cash registers and then specifically takes "Backwood" brand cigars.

TPD Detectives Ask for Tips to ID Suspect who Damaged Sunoco Gas Station

On December 10th, this unknown suspect caused thousands of dollars worth of damage to the Sunoco Gas station located at 818 W. Platt Street in Tampa.  The video shows the suspect using his elbow to smash the glass of several of the store windows.

TPD Detectives Investigate Two Burglaries Possibly by the Same Suspects

STATUS: OPEN

On November 24, 2020 at 7:30 p.m., 2 male suspects forced entry into the Neiman Marcus store located within International Plaza at 2223 N. Westshore Blvd. in Tampa.  The suspects were observed by law enforcement and immediately fled the area in a black sedan. 

One suspect is described as a black or Hispanic male, medium build, short brown hair and was last seen wearing a bright orange long sleeve shirt, dark pants and a blue mask. The second suspect is a white male, large build and wore a blue hoody, light pants, a red/white/black winter knit hat and a black mask. Detectives believe the suspects may be the same suspects who attempted to enter the store while it was closed on November 17, 2020.

HCSO Detectives Search for Stolen Food Trucks Possibly Taken to Miami Area
December 09, 2020

STATUS: OPEN
On November 16, 2020 between 3:43 a.m. and 3:52 a.m., unknown suspects utilized a Ford F250 pickup truck to steal a 2019 FRDM enclosed trailer bearing FL tag #LHZG98 from the parking lot at Hillsborough Avenue West & Sawyer Road in Tampa.  The red trailer is being utilized as a food truck and bears the name "Pizzeataly" on the side. The suspects fled southbound on the Veterans Expressway with the truck valued at approx. $30,000. The suspect vehicle is possibly a dark colored Ford King Ranch with a light color on the bottom and aftermarket rims.
 
Between 6:30 p.m. on December 2 and 8:00 a.m. on December 3, 2020, unknown suspects stole a 16ft black food trailer bearing FL tag #Y228AZ from the parking lot of FL Food Truck Builders located at 4901 Rio Vista Avenue West in Tampa.  The food truck has the name "Beginning Delights" on the side, a black fabricated shelf that holds 2 white propane tanks on the front and is valued at approx. $30,000.  The suspect vehicle is possibly a 2002-2009 Dodge Ram 2500, dark in color, with aftermarket rims and tires. The vehicle was last seen traveling southbound on the Veterans Expressway from Hillsborough Avenue.

TPD Detectives Find Deceased Male in Abandoned Car

On December 7, 2020 at 8:47 a.m., in the 6800 block of Lyman Avenue in Tampa, a 38 year old, Hispanic male was found deceased inside an abandoned blue BMW. At this time it appears the victim died from upper body trauma.

On November 2, 2020, just after 8:00 a.m., a 17 year old male was found deceased near N. 29th Street & E. 19th Avenue in Tampa after suffering injuries from a shooting.  The victim was identified as Marqueas (Papi) Williams.

FHP Investigators Ask for Tips in Zephyrhills Hit n Run Fatality of Pedestrian

On February 1, 2020 at 3:32 a.m., a pedestrian was walking on or across 6th Avenue when he was struct by a vehicle traveling eastbound, east of Armstrong Street in Zephyrhills. The driver of the unknown vehicle fled the scene.  The victim, who  was identified as Alonzo Norton, 46 years of age, died as a result of the injuries he sustained. Debris from the vehicle's left front fender well was left at the scene and indicates the vehicle could be a Honda Pilot.

TPD Detectives Ask for Tips to ID Robbery Suspects

On November 30, 2020 at 7:14 p.m., two suspects entered the Helzberg Diamond store located at 2223 N. Westshore Blvd. in Tampa.  One suspect asked to see two diamond tennis bracelets while the other suspect walked around the store.  Once the employee got the bracelets out of the show case, suspect number one grabbed them and both suspects ran from the store.  The two suspects were dropped off by a third suspect who stayed in the vehicle.  Both suspects were black males, 6'0 tall, thin build.  The first suspect was wearing a black mask, gray scrubs, tan shoes, the second suspect was wearing a black mask, black hoodie, black pants with white stripes. They arrived in a newer, white, Toyota Camry.

TPD Detectives Ask for Tips to ID Theft Suspects

On November 7, 2020 at 1:49 p.m. two unknown suspects stole copper pipes from the JC Newman Cigar Company located at 2701 N. 16th St. in Tampa. The suspect vehicle is described as an older model, silver, Ford, F-150 pickup. There were two suspects that exited the truck and the driver remained.

HCSO Detectives Ask for Information to Help Identify Publix Robbery Suspect
November 16, 2020

STATUS: OPEN
On November 14, 2020 at 5:05 p.m., an unknown white male approached the cashier at Publix located at 6434 Highway 41 N. in Apollo Beach and demanded cash. The suspect threatened to shoot the cashier, however, he did not show a weapon.  The suspect is described as a W/M, 6'0", 170 lbs., wearing a white long sleeve shirt, jeans and a dark blue face covering. The suspect fled the store with cash and left in an older grey sedan, possibly a Toyota Camry, with heavy rear end damage and missing a hub cap on the passenger side.  
 
Shortly after the robbery, a subject matching the description of the robbery suspect exited the same vehicle at a Shell station in Palmetto.  The subject can be seen on store surveillance video making a purchase at the counter.  Detectives believe the subject in the video is the robbery suspect and that he lives in the Manatee County area.
