3/27/2015 - TPD Officers Search for Armed Robbery Suspects

On March 26, 2015 at approximately 9:49 pm, three unknown suspects robbed the Nebraska Food Mart located at 7508 Nebraska Av. N. in Tampa.  Armed suspect #1 jumped the counter and forced the victim to open the cash register while armed suspect #2 ran behind the counter and pistol whipped the victim.  Suspect #3 entered the store, opened the cash register and began taking money from the registers and safe.  The suspects fled the store and ran southbound on foot.  Victim #2 was walking toward the store when he encountered the suspects at which time one of the suspects shot him causing serious injury.  One of the suspects also shot suspect #3 who was found injured a short distance away by law enforcement.  Suspect #3, Wilson Lopez, 10/29/1982, has been arrested.

Suspect #1 is described as a black male, 5`9", 200 lbs., dark complexion, full beard, medium build and wearing an orange hoodie.
Suspect #2 is described as a black male, 19-22 years of age, 5`8", 170 lbs., light complexion, 3-4 inch dreads and wearing a black jean jacket.

3/25/2015 - HCSO Detectives Search for Cell Phone ThievesSOLVED

HCSO Detectives have issued an arrest warrant for Shawn Terry Dixon Jr., B/M, 1/24/1984 for Grand Theft.
 
On March 22, 2015 at approximately 3:13 pm, two unknown suspects requested to view a variety of cell phones at the Metro PCS store located at 2256 Bearss Av. E. in Tampa.  While the clerk was retrieving another phone to be viewed, suspect #2 picked up 3 cell phones (Samsung Galaxy S5, S4 and an iPhone 5) valued at over $1,500 and both subjects exited the store without paying for the items.
 
Suspect #1 is described as:  black male, 30-40 years of age, 6`0", 180-200 pounds, last seen wearing a brown/white tank top, shorts and a brown/white hat.  (See below surveillance photo)
Suspect #2 is described as:  black male, 30-40 years of age, 6`0", 220-230 pounds, last seen wearing a white t-shirt, jean shorts and black/white shoes.  (See below surveillance photo)

3/25/2015 - TPD Officers are Looking for Suspect who Robbed Victim of ATM Deposit

On March 23, 2015 at 8:30 pm, an unknown suspect robbed a female who was on her way to make a night deposit at a bank ATM located at 1933 Hillsborough Av. E. in Tampa.  The suspect ran up behind the victim, pushed her to the ground and stole the security bag containing cash.  The suspect fled across Hillsborough Av. and is described as a male, thin and last seen wearing a black hoodie, black pants and white shoes with white laces.

3/24/2015 - TPD Detectives Need Witnesses to Come Forward in Birthday Party Homicide
On March 21, 2015 at approximately 11:30 am, the victim, Richard Newton, black male, 9/20/2000, was at an outdoor birthday party at 8105 9th Ave. in Tampa.  A fight broke out, escalating to gunfire and as a result, Richard was shot and killed.

3/24/2015 - Tampa Police Search for Suspect in Fatal Hit and Run

The victim, Herbert M. James, black male, 5/25/1989, died as a result of a fatal hit and run accident at 40th St. and Deleuil Av. in Tampa on March 22, 2015 just after 3am.  The victim turned southbound onto 40th St. at Deleuil Av. when his car was struck by the suspect vehicle, a rented 2015 Chevrolet Camaro.  The driver, described as a black male, fled the scene on foot.

3/23/2015 - HCSO Detectives Looking to Identify Suspect Wearing Duke Sweatshirt

On March 11, 2015 at 2:31 am, an unknown suspect entered the victim`s vehicle located at 11618 Brookmore Wy, Riverview, and removed a purse containing the victim`s debit card.  At 3 am and 4 am, an unknown suspect used the debit card at the Circle K at 11606 Balm Riverview Rd.
 
The suspect is described as black male, 17-20 years of age, slender build, wearing dark colored pants and a blue Duke sweatshirt.  The suspect fled the store on a dark colored cruiser style bicycle.

3/23/2015 - HCSO Detectives Search for Suspects Stealing from Neighborhood Vehicles

On March 13, 2015 at approximately 4:29 am, a series of vehicle burglaries were committed by unknown suspects throughout the Temple Park neighborhood.  The suspects were caught on surveillance video trying a vehicle door handle while another suspect stole a bicycle from the front porch of a residence at the 8500 block of Temple Park Dr. in Tampa.

The suspects are described as:  (see below photos)

     #1 - black or Hispanic male juvenile with short, dark hair and wearing a light colored t-shirt, blue jean/khaki shorts, black socks and sneakers.   

     #2 - unknown race, light skinned male wearing a light colored long sleeve shirt, black pants with a light colored backpack.

     #3 - unknown race male wearing a dark colored t-shirt, shorts and dark shoes.

3/13/2015 - TPD Detectives Need Assistance Identifying Armed Robbery Suspects

During the morning hours of March 13, 2015, two unknown suspects robbed the victim at Diana Av. E. and Julie St. N. in Tampa.  The suspects concealed their faces with black bandannas and ski masks, brandished black handguns and demanded the victim`s wallet.  One of the suspect`s punched the victim in the face and the other suspect shot the victim in the chest after the victim refused to get on the ground.  The suspects fled the scene in an unknown direction. 

 
The suspects are described as black males, 15-16 years of age, 5`9", 140-150 pounds, thin build, clean shaven and having a 2-3 inch high top fade style haircut.  One suspect was wearing a black and white shirt with blue jeans and the other suspect was wearing all black clothing.  The suspects were armed with what was believed to be black small caliber pistols.

3/12/2015 - TPD Detectives Search for Armed Burglary Suspect

On March 10, 2015 between 15:50 and 16:30 pm, an unknown suspect jumped the fence to the residence of 7704 Huntley Ave. N., in Tampa while armed with a firearm.  He pointed the gun at the family dog then broke into the residence, where he subsequently fled with personal items along with another firearm.  
 
The suspect is described as:  black male, mid to late 20`s, 5`8" to 5`9", approx. 150 lbs, full beard and last seen wearing orange shorts, a light colored v-neck t-shirt and a white hat.  (See below surveillance photos)

3/10/2015 - Reward Offered in Hit-n-Run with Serious Injuries
Crime Stoppers of Tampa Bay is offering a reward of up to $3,000 for information that leads to the identification and arrest of the unknown driver who left the scene of a crash that resulted in serious injuries to 55 year old Chris Simko of Brandon, FL.  The crash occurred on March 10, 2015, at approximately 9:59 PM at Balm-Riverview Road and US Hwy 301 N in south Hillsborough County. According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the victim was operating his motorcycle northbound on US Hwy 301 when an unknown vehicle that was traveling in opposite direction made a left turn in the path of the motorcycle. The motorcycle struck the passenger side of the suspect vehicle, which caused the victim to be ejected from his motorcycle. The suspect vehicle fled the scene without stopping, and the victim was transported to Tampa General Hospital where he was treated for serious bodily injuries sustained in the crash.

3/10/2015 - Pasco County Deputies Searching for Attempt Kidnapping Suspect

On March 9, 2015 at approximately 3:30 pm, after being dropped off by a school bus at 23rd St. and Darren Dr. in Zephyrhills, an 11 year old boy was approached by a Hispanic male.  The suspect attempted to entice the boy into his vehicle which was described as being a 2002-2006, dark gray, Ford Expedition. (See photo of similar vehicle.)  The child ran away and the suspect fled the area. 
 
The suspect is described as a Hispanic male, 30-40 years of age, medium build, dark slicked back hair, short full facial hair, tan complexion and was wearing a long sleeve black t-shirt.  The victim advised that the suspect did not have a Hispanic accent.  (See below photo of suspect composite sketch.)

3/10/2015 - TPD Detectives Are Asking for the Public`s Assistance in Robles Park Shooting

On March 8, 2015 at approximately 8:14 pm, TPD Officers responded to calls of shots fired and discovered 3 teenage shooting victims near East Lake Av. and North Avon Av. in Tampa.  Witnesses advised shots were fired towards a crowd at the Robles Park basketball courts while one or more vehicles were traveling eastbound on East Lake Av. from North Florida Av.  Possible suspect vehicles are a dark 4-door sedan or a red SUV.

3/10/2015 - Plant City Detectives Need Assistance Solving December Double Homicide
On December 18, 2014 at approximately 1:51 am, two Hispanic males were found to have gunshot wounds to their upper torso.  Investigators believe the unsuccessful home invasion/robbery was attempted at 205 Johnson St. S., in Plant City.  Ultimately, both victims died as a result of their injuries.
 
The two victims have been identified as:
          H/M, Lazaro Chiroy Chiroy, DOB 12/17/1977
          H/M, Rolando Chiroy Chiroy, DOB 8/20/1982
 
There is no suspect description to provide at this time.  Detectives are asking for assistance from the public to solve this double homicide.

On March 7, 2015 at approximately 1:54 am, the victim, Pierre Jordan Picket, black male, 4/5/1990, became involved in a confrontation with several subjects who were in a vehicle in the parking lot of Calendar Girls located at 16309 U.S. 19 in Hudson.  An unknown subject fired multiple shots from the vehicle, which struck and ultimately killed Pierre.  Witnesses described the three to four suspects as being black males, possibly with dread locks.  One or more of the suspects may have had a Caribbean accent.  The suspects fled southbound on U.S. 19 in a newer model, black or dark colored, 2008 or newer Infinity G37. The vehicle was occupied by 4 black males at the time of the shooting and they were found on video surveillance at the Lollipops Club earlier the same evening.

3/10/2015 - Pasco County Detectives Need Assistance from the Public with Homicide in Holiday

On March 9, 2015 at approximately 11:00 pm, the victim, Livingston Hoyte, black male, 1/5/1981, was found lying on the sidewalk in front of his residence of 5639 Cheyenne Dr. in Holiday.  Livingston had been shot multiple times by an unknown suspect and died as a result of his injuries.
