TPD Detectives Seek Information on Suspect Using Stolen Credit Card to Purchase Gift Cards

On February 9, 2019 at 5:00 pm, an unknown suspect(s) shattered the passenger window of a Volkswagon while it was parked at the LA Fitness located at 301 Dale Mabry Highway South in Tampa.  The suspect(s) took the victim's wallet from the center console cup holder.  A short time later, an unknown black male used a stolen credit card to purchase gift cards at the Walgreen's located at 3863 Dale Mabry Highway South and then at the Walgreen's located at 4738 Gandy Boulevard, both in South Tampa.  The fraudulent purchases occurred while the victim was still inside the LA Fitness.

TPD Detectives Search for Early Morning Mall Burglary Suspects

On February 11, 2019 at 3:00 am, a black male and a white female entered the West Shore mall through an exterior service entrance door.  Once inside, they walked down the service hallway and later entered the Leroux Tattoo Shop through the rear service entrance.  The suspects took cash from a cash registered then left the area the same way they entered.

HCSO Detectives Ask for Information from the Public to Identify Female Using Fraudulent Account

From September 4, 2018 through October 1, 2018, an unknown female utilized the victim's identity to open an account with First Tech Federal Credit Union and obtain a $40,000 line of credit.  The female used the fraudulent credit card to make purchases totaling $40,000 at Publix, Target and Winn Dixie stores throughout Hillsborough, Pasco and Polk counties.   The suspect is described as a black female, 18-30 yoa and possibly pregnant.

Temple Terrace Detectives Work to ID Robbery Suspect

In the morning hours of February 18, 2019, an unknown black male walked into the CVS located at 5502 Fowler Avenue East in Temple Terrace.  Once inside, the suspect displayed a silver revolver and demanded cash from an employee.  After the robbery, the suspect fled the scene in a newer model Dodge Ram, silver in color.  The suspect was wearing a baseball cap and sunglasses and has facial hair.

HCSO Detectives Search for Suspects Who Stole Items from Walmart

On February 9, 2019 just after 5 am, two unknown black males and an unknown black female entered the Walmart on Highway 674 in Wimauma and selected a variety of merchandise that included:  bedding, vacuums and a children's swing set.  The suspects left the store without paying for the merchandise valued at $1,605.28.  The suspects fled the store in a dark colored SUV.

TPD Detectives Work to Identify Suspects Involved in a Shooting at a Tampa Club

STATUS: OPEN
On February 2, 2019 at 2:59am, a verbal argument began inside the Medusa Lounge located at 7522 Armenia Avenue North in Tampa.  As the victims began to leave the club, two Hispanic subjects began to follow them.  The argument turned physical and a large brawl ensued.  One suspect retrieved a firearm from a vehicle then shot one of the victims in the chest causing non-life threatening injuries.  The second suspect, who was already armed, fired several shots into the crowd and air.  The suspects then fled in a small, light-colored 4-door vehicle.

Temple Terrace Detectives Work To Identity Suspect Attempting to Rob the Winn Dixie

On January 29, 2019 at approximately 12:49 p.m., an unknown male entered the Winn Dixie located at 8775 Temple Terrace Highway and approached a clerk to inquire if they cashed payroll checks.  The suspect passed a note to the clerk and asked her to read it.  The note was a demand for cash.  The suspect left the store without any cash.  The suspect is described as a white male, 5'08"-5'10", 270-280 lbs. and was last seen wearing a gray hoodie, tan shorts, dark shoes and a black ball cap.

HCSO Detectives Search for Suspects Breaking Into Cars

STATUS: OPEN
On January 17, 2019 at approximately 1:00 a.m., unknown suspects went to the Carriage Point Subdivision in a stolen Lexus and committed several vehicle burglaries.  Before leaving, the suspects stole a blue Volkswagen Jetta from the neighborhood.  At approximately 1:30 a.m., a deputy observed both vehicles traveling on Honeywell Road, however they fled at a high rate of speed.  Both vehicles were found abandoned shortly after.  Video surveillance shows one suspect being picked up at the Circle K by a dark colored 4-door sedan, possibly a Chevrolet Cruze.  The suspects are described as black males wearing dark clothing and a hoodie tied around their face.

Pasco Detectives Work to ID Hudson Robbery Suspect

STATUS: SOLVED
In the afternoon of January 29, 2019, an unknown suspect robbed 3 businesses along the State Road 52 corridor within a short time frame.  The first robbery was via the Regions bank drive-thru at 7512 State Road 52; the second robbery was the Sunoco Station at 7632 State Road 52 and the third was a dry cleaners at State Road 52 and Cobblestone in Hudson.  During all 3 robberies, the suspect claimed he had a gun in his possession, however, it was not displayed. 
 
The suspect is described as a white male, in his 60's, last seen wearing a black ball cap and a black jacket with white stripes on the sleeves.  He can be seen on surveillance video driving a black Volkswagen Jetta.

Plant City Officers Investigate Hit n Run Traffic Fatality
January 18, 2019

STATUS: SOLVED
On January 17, 2019 at 7:30 p.m., on US Highway 92 East, approximately 1000 ft. West of Charlie Taylor Road in Plant City, an Hispanic adult male in his 40's to 50's, was found lying on the side of the road.  It is believed that the driver of a 2005-2007 black Hyundai Tucson struck the pedestrian and continued traveling northbound on Charlie Taylor Road.  The victim died at the scene as a result of the injuries he sustained.
 
On January 18, 2019, officers recovered what they believe to be the suspect vehicle, which was abandoned in a wooded area south of a mobile home park in Lakeland.   The vehicle has heavy frontal and left frontal damage.  (see photos)
