TPD Detectives Seek Information from the Public in Homicide of Teen Riding Bicycle

On September 3, 2018 at 8:35 p.m., an unknown suspect(s) shot the victim while he was riding his bicycle southbound on Banyan Avenue from 13th Street North in Tampa.  As a result of the injuries, the victim fell of his bicycle in the 9400 block of Brooks Street North.  The victim, who died from the injuries he sustained, was identified as Tesean Blue, 18 years of age.

TPD Detectives Ask for Information from the Public to Solve Double Homicide

STATUS: OPEN

On August 31, 2018 at approximately 9:23 p.m., unknown suspect(s) entered the residence at 9508 10th Street North in Tampa and shot Albertlean East, 26 yoa and Marcus Bowden, 40 yoa.  East was taken to the hospital where she died as a result of her injuries.  Bowden died at the scene.  Photos of both victims are below.

TPD Detectives Ask for Information on Trio of Laundromat Looters

STATUS: OPEN
A trio of suspects are targeting laundromats in several jurisdictions.  On August 7, 2018 at 2 a.m., the suspects entered the Coin Laundry at 122 Bougainvillea Avenue West and at 2:28 a.m. they went inside the Coin Wash 24 located at 8923 North Boulevard in Tampa.  In both cases, the suspects hid a crow bar inside a laundry basket then used it to pry open the office doors.  The fled the scene without taking cash or property in both burglaries.
 
The trio of suspects are a white male, approximately 5'9", approximately 170 lbs., medium length black hair and eyeglasses.  The second suspect is a white male, approximately 6'2", 190 lbs., low cut black hair, full sleeve tattoos on both arms, wearing a black short sleeve shirt, dark colored shorts, black sneakers and the third suspect is a white female, approximately 5'2", 170 lbs., dark brown hair, wearing a black shirt, blue jean shorts and pink sneakers.
 
Detectives believe the "Laundromat Looters" are responsible for at least 5 burglaries along the I-4 corridor in Hillsborough, Orange and Sumter Counties.

TPD Detectives Search for Trio Using Distraction Technique to Steal Wallet

On September 3, 2018 a male and two females used a distraction technique while at the Home Goods in New Tampa in order to take an elderly female's wallet from her purse.  The two female suspects then went to the Best Buy nearby at 18017 Highwoods Preserve Parkway and purchased electronics with the stolen credit cards.

PCPD Detectives Ask for Information on Suspect Robbing Walgreens Stores

STATUS: OPEN
On August 31, 2018 at 6:21 a.m., an unknown black male entered the Walgreens located at 2102 Baker Street West in Plant City.  He selects a bottle of water and hands the clerk a $1 bill to pay for the item.  While the cash register drawer is open, the suspect reaches over the counter and attempts to grab the cash from the open drawer.  A struggle ensues with the female clerk, at which time the suspect flees the store with cash.  He entered a small 2-door, dark colored vehicle that was parked across the street, then fled in an unknown direction. 
 
On September 6, 2018 the same suspect did the same thing that he did on August 31, 2018.  Detectives have linked this suspect to similar type robberies at a Walgreens in Temple Terrace on September 1, 2018 and also believe he may be responsible for three cases in the Orlando area in the last 2 weeks.

On August 27, 2018 an unknown suspect took a black 2008 Dodge Ram truck with a chrome package from the Plant City area.  The suspect was captured on surveillance video.  The white male has multiple tattoos on his arms, facial hair and was wearing glasses.

On August 2, 2018 three unknown black females entered the Charlotte Russe store in Westshore Mall at 253 Westshore Plaza, grabbed 33 pairs of jeans then left the store without paying for them.  The value of the stolen jeans is approximately $1,113.  The suspects were captured on store surveillance cameras.

TPD Detectives Ask for Information in Robbery of Victim While Ordering Food

On August 10, 2018 three suspects robbed the victim at gun point while ordering food from a food truck at 3125 Hillsborough Avenue West in Tampa.  The suspects took a cell phone, clothing and money from the victim.  The suspects also attempted to rob the food truck but were unsuccessful.  The suspects were captured on surveillance cameras.  One male suspect who was wearing a hoodie and had part of his face covered, can be seen holding an unknown make/model firearm.  The other suspects are a white male and female.

On August 8, 2018 an unknown white male entered the Sunglass Hut inside the Westshore Mall at 143 Westshore Plaza and selected two pair of sunglasses.  The suspect chose black Guicci Tortoise sunglasses and red/green Gucci sunglasses valued at approximately $955.  He then left the store without paying.

HCSO Detectives Search for Thieves Who Took Wood from Construction Site

On July 31, 2018 at 2:00 p.m., two males were observed taking lumber from a construction site at 13910 Galway Sand Road in Riverview within the South Fork East Subdivision.  The suspects loaded approximately $1,200 in wood into an open tandem axle trailer attached to a large white SUV, possibly a 1992 to 1999 Chevrolet or GMC Suburban.  The SUV has large areas of missing paint near the rear passenger door.  The driver is a white male, in his 50's, thin build and was wearing glasses.  The passenger is a Hispanic male, in his 40's and wearing a black shirt and shorts.

HCSO Detectives Want to ID Man Who Enters Bakery Through Roof

On July 21, 2018 at 3:17 a.m., surveillance cameras at Rico Pan Bakery located at 8216 Causeway Boulevard in Tampa, captured an unknown male wearing a ski mask enter the business by breaking through the roof and sliding through a ceiling tile into the kitchen.  The suspect walked directly to the cash register and took cash before he fled through the rear door.  The suspect is believed to be a white Hispanic male with tattoos on both forearms, wearing dark jeans, sneakers, a black hoodie and black ski mask.

HCSO Detectives Search for Suspects Who Stole Jewelry from Kiosk

On July 16, 2018 at 2:15 p.m., two subjects were caught on surveillance cameras stealing approximately $489 worth of jewelry from the Watch It kiosk located inside University Square Mall at 2200 Fowler Avenue East.  The suspects are believed to be teenagers.  One suspect is a black male and was wearing a red t-shirt with black gym shorts and the second suspect is a black male who was wearing a white long sleeve shirt with black sweatpants.

On July 19, 2018 at 2:15 a.m., an unknown male and female took a Chrysler convertible from the parking lot of the YMCA located at 4411 Himes Avenue North in Tampa.  The suspects were captured on surveillance cameras.  The white male is described as having a thin build, facial hair and was not wearing a shirt.  The black or Hispanic female appears to be of a larger build, was wearing glasses and a hat.  Detectives believe the suspects might be responsible for attempting to steal other vehicles in the area during the same time frame.

HCSO Detectives Ask for Information on Suspects Responsible for Several Vehicle Burglaries

Between July 10, 2018 at 6:00 p.m. and July 11, 2018 at 4:00 a.m., 3 unknown males were captured on video breaking into vehicles on Jim Court in Riverview.  Several unlocked vehicles were entered by the suspects resulting in 2 firearms being taken.  Detectives believe these suspects could also be responsible for other burglaries in the area.  The suspects are believed to be white or Hispanic males ranging in age from 16-20 years.  The suspects wear hooded sweatshirts and gloves and often travel by bicycle.

HCSO Detectives Search for Subjects Who Shot at Each Other in a Park

HC Fire Marshal's Office Ask for Information from the Public in Recent String of Fires

STATUS: OPEN
Since July 1, 2018, four fires have occurred within The Enclave at Channing Park subdivision located in the Fish Hawk Ranch area of Lithia.  Investigators believe that a pattern of fires have evolved due to the close proximity and time frame of the fires.  The first fire was a home under construction at 17639 Bright Wheat Drive.  The unknown suspect(s) then set a dumpster containing construction materials on fire on July 8, 2018.  The next fire occurred on July 17, 2018 to a home under construction at 17636 Bright Wheat Drive.  Two days later, on July 19, 2018 at approximately 6:04 a.m., the suspect(s) set a fire within the home under construction at 17627 Buckingham Garden Drive.  Investigators believe the same person(s) may be responsible as all four fires were ignited by similar means.  The total estimated damage is $25,000.

HCSO Detectives Ask for Information on Several Vehicle Burglaries in Apollo Beach

On July 14, 2018 at 3:57 a.m., at 6516 King Palm Way in Apollo Beach, two unknown white males burglarized a Chevrolet pickup truck through an unlocked door.  The suspects walked to 6518 King Palm Way and took a 2016 Acura MDX SUV, white in color, which was later recovered in St. Petersburg.  Detectives believe the suspects could be responsible for up to 30 vehicle burglaries in the area.  Surveillance video captured a suspect at the door to a vehicle.  The suspect is described as a white male, 14-16 yoa, thin build, wearing a striped shirt and carrying a light-colored backpack.  The second suspect is a white male, thin build, wearing a hoodie and carrying a backpack.
