TPD Detectives Work to Identify Burglary Suspect

On October 28, 2016 at approximately 5:00 a.m., an unknown black male broke into the Big Wash Coin Laundry located at Wates Avenue East in Tampa.  The suspect was caught on surveillance video attempting to break into the change machine inside.  The suspect caused approximately $1,500 in damage, however, he did not obtain any cash from the machine before he fled.

TPD Officers Search for Watch Thief at International Mall

An unknown white male entered the Old Northeast Jewelers at 2223 Westshore Boulevard North inside International Mall.  After he looked at some jewelry, the suspect grabbed two watches and fled the store.  The suspect is described as a white male, in his mid-to-late 20`s, between 5`08" and 5`10", 160-170 lbs., light complexion, black hair and facial stubble.

On 12/12/16 at approximately 10:22 a.m., an unknown black male approached the victim at 20th Street North and Fletcher Avenue East in Tampa and stole items from her.  The suspect ran eastbound through the Avesta Apartment Complex located at 13133 20th Street North.  The black male suspect is described as being 6`04", 220 lbs., short afro, full beard and last seen wearing a white windbreaker jacket, black gym shorts with red stripes and red/black sneakers.

TPD Detectives Search for Fatal Hit & Run Driver

On 12/14/16 at approximately 11:37 p.m., a pedestrian walking on North Nebraska Avenue near East Crawford Street in Tampa was struck by a vehicle.  As the victim laid in the southbound lanes of the roadway, he was struck by a second vehicle whose driver failed to stop.  The victim, who died as a result of his injuries, was identified as Willie James Bacon Jr., 52 yoa.  The suspect vehicle is believed to be a full-size, light colored, Lincoln or Ford/Mercury sedan.

TPD Detectives Investigate Homicide of Victim Found Dead in His Home

During the evening hours of December 12, 2016, TPD officers discovered the victim, William L. McGoff, 53 yoa, dead in his home at 4928 Chariton Avenue in Tampa.  At this time, investigators believe that McGoff was murdered by unknown suspect(s).  McGoff`s 2013 Hyundai, black in color, bearing FL tag 113VFT, is now missing.

HCSO Detectives Seek Information in Homicide
December 09, 2016

On December 7, 2016 at approximately 4:00 am, deputies were notified via Shot Spotter Activation that shots were heard in the area of 15th Street and Gragston Circle in Tampa.  Deputies discovered a male victim laying in the parking lot of the Revere Landings Apartment complex located at 1802 French Creek Drive.  The victim had sustained more than one gun shot wound and died at the hospital as a result of his injuries.  The victim was identified as Antonio Lamar Bradshaw, 9/13/1982.

Law Enforcement Investigators Seek Assistance From the Public To Identify Serial Arson Suspect(s)

Investigators with the Hillsborough County Sheriff`s Office, Plant City Police Department, Hillsborough County Fire Rescue and State Fire Marshall`s Office are requesting the public`s assistance to help identify the suspect(s) responsible for the arson that occurred at the below locations.  The arson investigations began on November 13, 2016.  Detectives have developed a possible suspect vehicle and it is described as an older Toyota or Nissan with shiny rims and a rear spoiler with a loud exhaust.

On December 3, 2016 at approximately 2:10 a.m., an unknown black male approached a female near her vehicle in the 900 block of Howard Avenue South in Tampa.  The male came up behind the victim and struck her in the head, then pushed her into her car.  The suspect drove the victim`s vehicle away with her inside.  The suspect robbed the victim, then left her with her vehicle.  The victim sustained minor injuries.  The suspect was captured on surveillance video and is described as a heavy set black male, short hair, beard and was wearing a hooded sweatshirt and dark athletic shoes.

On December 2, 2016 at 11:16 am, an unknown white male entered the Fifth Third Bank located at 16509 Fishhawk Boulevard in Lithia.  The suspect presented a note to a teller demanding money.  The suspect was described as a white male, 5`08", 150-160lbs., thin build with a very fair complexion and was seen wearing blue jeans, gray sweatshirt with a camouflage fleece style shirt underneath and black sneakers.  After the suspect received cash, he fled the bank by walking west through the parking lot.

TPD Detectives Are Looking For Burglary Suspect

On November 28, 2016 between 5:41 am and 6:02 am, an unknown black male entered the Cars of Tampa lot located at 10409 Florida Avenue North.  The suspect rode a white women`s bicycle around the lot then entered two unlocked vehicles.  No property was taken.  The suspect was then seen on surveillance video walking his bicycle and pressure washer to the front of the property.  He then walked north on Florida Avenue to hide the bicycle.  The suspect returned to the lot and attempted to enter additional vehicles.  When the suspect began to flee with the pressure washer, the business audible alarm sounded and the suspect fled on foot southbound toward Bougainvillea Avenue East. 

The suspect is described as a black male, approximately 5`09", 160-170lbs., medium complexion, thin goatee and was wearing a dark colored jacket, light colored cargo pants, black Jordan sneakers and a blue/white skull cap.

PCPD Detectives Ask for Information in Stabbing

STATUS: SOLVED

On November 28, 2016 at 1:17 p.m., a male was seen stabbing a female near a gray Nissan Quest that was stopped in the 2700 block of Sammonds Road in Plant City.  The victim was stabbed multiple times in her upper body.  She has been identified as Rocio Becerra, 31 yoa.  Becerra died as a result of the injuries she sustained.  The suspect fled the scene in the victim`s vehicle, which was later found abandoned and recovered by law enforcement.  Witnesses described the Hispanic male suspect as being in his 20`s to 30`s, 5`08", medium build and having dark hair.

HCSO Detectives Work to Identify Cell Phone Thieves

On November 15, 2016 at 5:45 p.m., two unknown black males entered the AT&T store at 217 Brandon Town Center Drive and removed three cell phones valued at $2,320.  The phones were on display near the store entrance.  The suspects fled on foot toward the Target. 

The first suspect was described as a black male, 18-25 yoa, 5`09" to 6`0", 150-170 lbs., short black hair, black beard/mustache and was wearing a black beanie cap, black sweatshirt, black sweatpants and white sneakers.  The second suspect was described as a black male, 18-25 yoa, 5`06" to 5`09", 150-170 lbs., short black hair, clean shaven and wearing a black beanie cap, gray sweatshirt and gray sweatpants.

HCSO Detectives Look for Home Invasion Suspects

On November 15, 2016 at approximately 1:40 a.m., two unknown black males knocked on the victim`s door at 2702 Bruce B. Downs Boulevard in Tampa.  Inside the apartment were five USF students and one opened the door.  The two black male suspects, each armed with a handgun, forced their way inside the apartment.  One suspect held the victims at gun point in the living room while the second suspect entered one room and took a victim`s wallet containing $300.  The suspects fled to a waiting black sedan being driven by a third unknown suspect.

The first suspect was described as a black male, 5`08" to 5`10", large build and wearing dark sweatpants, gray shoes, black hoodie, black leather gloves and a black ski mask.  The second suspect was described as a black male, 5`08" to 5`10", medium build and wearing dark jeans, black shoes, black USF hoodie, green USF skull cap, black gloves with a white skeleton hand, a Vandetta mask and carrying a black backpack with yellow/green straps.

HCSO Detectives Search for Bank Robbery Suspect

On November 16, 2016 at approximately 2:00 p.m., an unknown black male entered the Chase bank located at 2802 Fletcher Avenue East in Tampa and produced a note to the teller advising that he was "Heavily Armed" and demanded money.  After receiving cash the suspect fled the bank on foot in an eastbound direction. 

The suspect is described as a black male, 25-30 yoa, approximately 6`08", thin build, short hair, mustache/goatee and was wearing a maroon checkered shirt under a black jacket, blue jeans with white discolorations on the front and was carrying a backpack.

FHP Investigators Ask for Information in Gibsonton Hit & Run Fatality
November 16, 2016

On September 27, 2016 at 7:47 p.m., an unknown vehicle was traveling northbound on Highway 41 in the outside lane South of Beach Avenue in Gibsonton.  A pedestrian was walking northbound across Beach Avenue when the suspect vehicle turned left onto Beach Avenue.  The suspect vehicle struck the victim then fled the scene.  The victim, who was identified as Allen Ray Swyear, 60 yoa, was transported to the hospital but died a week later from the injuries sustained in the crash.  Investigators believe that the suspect vehicle could possibly be a dark colored Nissan Xterra.

PCPD Detectives Work to ID Suspects Stealing from Elderly Shoppers

STATUS: SOLVED

Between October 28, 2016 and November 13, 2016 three unknown subjects targeted three elderly females at two different Publix stores in Plant City.  The suspects, working together, distracted the elderly victim by striking up a conversation while another suspect removed their wallet from their shopping cart.  The suspects left Publix together and went directly to the closest CVS store.  Using the victims stolen credit cards, the suspects purchased several gift cards totaling over $1,000.00.  The suspects, two females and one male, fled the stores in a blue Ford full size passenger van.  See photos of the suspects taken from store surveillance footage.  A photo of the van the suspects utilized was captured at a Plant City gas station.

HCSO Detectives Ask for Information in Shooting Investigation

On October 30, 2016 at approximately 7:00 p.m., a verbal confrontation at 11307 Cujoe Lane in Gibsonton occurred over four-wheelers.  This turned into a physical altercation between a group of individuals where ultimately shots were fired.  Through the course of the investigation it has been determined that there were possibly three shooters involved.  Detectives have identified one of the involved shooters, however, the remaining two shooters are unknown at this time. According to witnesses, one suspect is described as a heavy set black male with dreadlocks as he was seen fleeing on foot.  The second suspect is described as a bald Hispanic male.

The victim has been identified as Juan Pedro Garcia, 43 yoa.  The investigation revealed that this has been an ongoing dispute among individuals in the trailer park.  There are possibly more witnesses to this incident, however, they have not come forward to law enforcement.

Pasco County Detectives Investigate Early Morning Home Invasion
November 08, 2016

On November 7, 2016 at approximately 3:00 a.m., one known suspect and two unknown suspects entered the residence of 37219 Gonzalez Court in Dade City.  While armed with firearms, the suspects ordered the victim to sit on the couch.  The known suspect has been identified as Leon Hernandez, 23 yoa and he was armed with a black semi-automatic handgun.  The unknown suspects were described as a Hispanic male who was armed with a chrome long barreled revolver and a white male who was armed with a black semi-automatic handgun.  The suspects took two televisions, an Xbox gaming system, a cell phone and the victim`s clothing.  The victim was blindfolded and forced into a 2014 Ford F150 passenger van, gray in color, bearing FL tag DJVJ84.  At Clay Hill Road the victim was pushed out of the van at which time the suspects fled.

During the evening of November 5, 2016 two unknown black males were caught on surveillance video arriving at the Payless Cash & Carry Club located at 2301 McBerry Street East in a white van.  The suspects can be see using a crow bar to attempt to gain access.  The alarm sounded and scared the suspects off before they could gain entry.
