HCSO Detectives Search for Suspects Using Stolen Credit Card
October 14, 2016

On September 9, 2016 between 8:50 a.m. and 8:20 p.m., an unknown suspect(s) broke into the victim`s vehicle while it was parked in the Florida Hospital Fletcher parking lot.  After gaining entry, the suspect(s) took an Apple MacBook, a wallet containing credit cards and a book bag.  A credit card was used at the Publix located at 12500 FL 54 in Odessa several times.  Video surveillance from the store captured the suspects during the transactions.        

The suspects are described as:

Suspect 1 - Hispanic male, approximately 5`10", 190 lbs., wearing a light blue t-shirt, light red or pink shorts and a light blue baseball cap which was changed later to a "Hurley" baseball cap.

Suspect 2 - Hispanic male, approximately 220 lbs., wearing a light blue t-shirt, black shorts, a gold watch and appears to have a sleeve tattoo on his left arm.

FHP Search for Hit and Run Driver in Fatality

STATUS: SOLVED

On 10/12/16 at 8:07 p.m., the driver of an unknown vehicle struck a pedestrian on Hillsborough Avenue near Blue Springs Drive in Tampa.  The suspect vehicle was traveling eastbound on Hillsborough Avenue while the pedestrian was walking southbound across Hillsborough Avenue.  The vehicle struck the pedestrian, then fled the scene.  The pedestrian has been identified as Ashley Perdomo, 17 years of age.  Perdomo has died as a result of the injuries she sustained.

TPD Detectives Look to Identify Money Bag Thief

On September 21, 2016 at approximately 12:25 p.m., an unknown black male snatched a money bag from an armored car messenger as he serviced an ATM within the Wawa store located at 1760 Hillsborough Avenue West in Tampa.  The suspect engaged in a confrontation with the victim then fled into a neighborhood behind the store where he entered a gray vehicle.  The suspect was described as a black male, approximately 5`10", dark complexion, skinny build and was wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt, dark blue pants, white rubber work boots, a dust/surgical mask and sunglasses.  A witness observed the suspect after he fled and noticed he had shoulder length dreadlocks.

TPD Detectives Search for Eyeglass Thieves

On October 3, 2016 at approximately 11:43 p.m., three unknown suspects backed up a newer model, white Dodge van to the front door of Patterson Eye Center located at 2917 Kennedy Boulevard.  The suspects used a pry bar to enter the business.  Once inside the suspects used plastic garbage bags to steal over $7,000 worth of eyeglasses.  The suspects fled the area in the white Dodge van.

On October 5, 2016 at 4:15 a.m., an unknown male forced entry through a glass window panel at JJ Fashion Discount located at 10069 Hillsborough Avenue West in Tampa and once inside took female dresses valued at approximately $150.00.  The suspect fled southbound through the parking lot and may have utilized a vehicle the leave.  The suspect is described as a white or Hispanic male, 5`08 to 5`10, short dark hair and beard, tattoo on his upper left arm/bicep and was least seen wearing a white t-shirt and dark pants.

HCSO Detectives Search for Camper Thief

On September 22, 2016 at approximately 7:52 p.m., an unknown white male drove to a storage lot located at 9335 Fowler Avenue East in Thonotosassa in a white Dodge B2500 series panel van, 1994 to 2003 model.  The suspect entered the property and attached a camper travel trailer to his van and fled.  The suspect drove eastbound on Fowler Avenue and turned south on Walker Road.  The camper is a 2015 Keystone "Passport" camper travel trailer, 27 foot and bearing FL tag X60-5AH.  The suspect is a white male, medium build, black hair and was wearing a baseball cap.

PCPD Detectives Ask for Information on Fraud

On July 28, 2016 at 1:50 p.m., an unknown white female used a stolen debit card at the Walmart located at 2602 James L. Redman Parkway in Plant City.  The credit card was stolen from a mailbox in Hillsborough County.  After making the purchase, the female suspect left in a white Jeep Grand Cherokee, possibly a 1999 to 2003 model that has damage to the right front quarter panel.

On September 28, 2016 shortly before 8:30 a.m., two males entered the 7 Eleven located at 10815 Nebraska Avenue North in Tampa and placed a skimmer device on the ATM within the store.  The first suspect is described as a male in his 20`s to early 30`s and was wearing a black shirt, pants and shoes.  He has a muscular build, black hair and a beard.  The second suspect is in his late 20`s to early 30`s, heavy, has a beard that appears to be black and a Mohawk style haircut and was wearing a white polio shirt, dark shorts and grey shoes.

PCPD Detectives Investigate Family Dollar Robbery

On September 20, 2016 at 9:30 a.m., an unknown black male entered the Family Dollar at 105 Gordon Street N. in Plant City while armed with a semi-automatic handgun.  The suspect approached a cashier and demanded money.  After receiving the cash, the suspect fled the store on foot in a southbound direction.  The suspect was described as a black male, possibly late teens, 5`06" to 5`08", medium build and was wearing a black hooded sweater, gray jogging pants and gloves.

TPD Detectives Search for Burglary Suspects

On September 5, 2016 at 2:02 a.m., three unknown suspects entered the Dunkin Donuts at 222 Waters Avenue West in Tampa through an unlocked door.  The suspects forced their way into the manager`s office and took a small safe containing cash.  The suspects fled westbound on foot.  The safe was recovered by officers nearby.

The suspects are described as:    

Suspect 1 - white male, 5`09", medium build and was seen wearing a camouflage hat, blue tank top blue jeans and beige boots with a black toe tip.                  

Suspect 2 - white male, 5`09", medium build and wearing a blue jean shirt, blue jeans, beige work boots, blue gloves and a black hood or shirt over his head.                         

Suspect 3 - white or Hispanic male, 5`09", medium build, bald spots on his head, straggly beard, tattoo on his left bicep and wearing a brown tank top, long gray cargo pants, white sneakers with dark shoestrings and a black hood or shirt over his head.

Pasco Detectives Ask for Information on Road Rage Shooting

On September 11, 2016 between 10:00 p.m. and 10:30 p.m., a vehicle with two occupants were driving eastbound on State Road 54 heading toward Land O` Lakes when an unknown subject started to repeatedly apply their brakes in front of them.  The subject followed the victims into the Walmart parking lot at 1575 Land O` Lakes Boulevard where the suspect fired at least one shotgun round striking the male passenger causing minor injuries.  The female driver was not injured.  The suspect was driving a dark colored, older model SUV with a roof rack and possibly had a FL tag.  A dog with a dark coat was seen sitting in the front passenger seat of the suspect vehicle.

Pasco Detectives Ask for Information

On September 7, 2016 at approximately 4:53 p.m., deputies responded to the intersection of Collier Parkway and Roderick Drive in Land O` Lakes and located an object near the intersection.  The item was not within the roadway.  Further investigation revealed the object could possibly be a destructive device and appears to be homemade.  The object was able to be secured without anyone getting injured.  It is unknown at this time who placed the device near the intersection.

On September 5, 2016 at 11:30 p.m., an unknown black male entered the lobby of the Hampton Inn located at 5628 Waters Avenue West in Tampa.  The suspect was wearing a red mask and was armed with a silver handgun.  The suspect demanded money from the register and the clerk`s wallet.  The suspect fled the hotel northbound across Waters Avenue.  The suspect is described as being 20-30 yoa and wearing a long sleeve black shirt, black pants, black gloves, black shoes and a red mask.

On September 7, 2016 at 0015hrs an unknown suspect entered Oh Whatever located at 3612 Manhattan Avenue South by prying open a side door.  The suspect also attempted to enter Summer House Furniture at 3620 Manhattan Avenue South in Tampa.   The suspect was captured on surveillance video and is described as a white male, late 20`s to early 30`s, approximately 6`, slim to medium build, balding brown hair with long side burns and was dressed well.  The suspect stole checks from Oh Whatever and fled the scene.

HCSO Deputies Search for Jewelry Thief & Hit and Run Suspect

On September 6, 2016 at approximately 7:11 p.m., an unknown black male entered Mirage Diamonds & Fine Jewelry at 321 Brandon Town Center Mall and took two pieces of jewelry (gold necklace and bracelet) valued at approximately $23,485 then fled the store on foot.  An employee chased the suspect outside, at which time the suspect entered a silver, newer model 2-door Chevrolet Camaro.  The employee confronted the suspect and grabbed the hood of the suspect vehicle.  The suspect drove toward Brandon Boulevard while the employee was still on the hood.  The employee was thrown off the vehicle at Brandon Boulevard and Brandon Town Center Drive.  The suspect vehicle was last seen entering Interstate 75 northbound.  The employee sustained life threatening injuries.  The suspect was described as a black male, 25-30 yoa, approximately 6`01", having a trimmed beard and wearing a dark blue hat, black t-shirt, dark long pants and black shoes.

HCSO Detectives Investigate Homicide

On September 5, 2016 at approximately 8:50 p.m. an unknown black male engaged in an argument with the victims while they were sitting in a vehicle at 13601 21st Street North in Tampa.  The argument escalated to the suspect shooting both victims.  Matthew Wissmann, 31 yoa, died at the scene after sustaining at least one gun shot wound to his upper body.  The second victim was transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.  The suspect was described as a black male, 6`02", 160-170 lbs., short beard, wearing a red/black baseball cap, red tank top or jersey type shirt and blue or black shorts.  The suspect fled the scene on a bicycle.

An unknown suspect stole the identity of the victim to open a Sam`s Club membership in Tampa.  He has utilized the membership benefits in Sarasota, St. Petersburg and Tampa.  The suspect established a line of credit at the Best Buy in Clearwater and Belk`s in Wesley Chapel and Ocala.  The suspect was captured on surveillance video at the Sam`s Club in Tampa on August 12, 2016.  At this time the suspect has fraudulently obtained over $6,000 worth of merchandise in the Tampa Bay area.  The suspect is described as a black male, late 20`s to early 30`s, dark complexion and thin build.

Pasco Detectives Work to Identify Road Rage Shooting Suspects

On August 26, 2016 at approximately 5:00 p.m., the occupants of a white Hyundai Accent left a pharmacy at US 19 and Embassy Boulevard in New Port Richey when they were chased by two vehicles.  The unknown occupants of a maroon unknown make SUV and a unknown make black sedan engaged in a road rage incident with the occupants of the white Hyundai Accent.  The occupants of the Hyundai were shot at knocking out the rear window.  At the intersection of Kingsbridge Road and Coventry Drive the black sedan struck the right passenger side of the white Hyundai causing it to loose control.  The unknown white male driver of the white Hyundai exited his vehicle and shot at the maroon SUV while it was parked at the intersection.  He then ran down the street while shooting at the black sedan after it passed.  The suspect is described as a white male wearing a light colored t-shirt and dark shorts.  The unknown suspect fled the scene on foot.  A short time later the black sedan returned and the white male driver and white female passenger were seen exiting the vehicle.

On August 25, 2016 at approximately 10:50 p.m., an unknown suspect approached a residence on Mesa Drive in New Port Richey and fired several rounds from a handgun, which nearly struck the adult female resident.  Witnesses observed a male subject, approximately 6`, skinny build, wearing black jeans and a gray hooded sweatshirt fleeing from the residence on foot.  The male entered a dark colored, unknown make 4-door vehicle, which he used to flee the scene.  Surveillance video captured the suspect approaching the residence.
