TPD Detectives Search for Numerous Suspects Who Broke Into Grocery (2017/01/06)

On December 26, 2016 at approximately 11:13 p.m., numerous suspects were caught on surveillance video breaking in to the Super Choice Mean & Grocery store at 3701 Central Avenue North in Tampa.  The suspects entered through the unlocked front door.  Once inside, the many suspects began taking lottery tickets, cigarettes and other merchandise.  One suspect is actually caught wiping down the front door as they were leaving.

HCSO Detectives Look for Suspect Who Pepper Sprayed Clerk During Robbery (2017/01/05)

On January 3, 2016 at approximately 8:53 p.m., an unknown white male entered the Pet Supermarket located at 18445 Highway 41 North in Lutz.  The suspect approached a store clerk and demanded money.  The employee asked the suspect if he had a weapon at which time the suspect pepper sprayed the employee in the face.  The employee gave the suspect cash then he fled and entered the driver`s side of a dark 4-door sedan, possibly a newer model (2012 or newer) Honda.  The suspect was described as a white male, 5`10", 140-160 lbs., 25-30 yoa and was wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt with dark letter/design on chest, baseball cap possibly with a red bill, a red bandanna covering his face, blue jeans, black shoes and blue latex gloves.

HCSO Deputies Investigate Case of Celebratory Gun Fire (2017/01/01)

On January 1, 2017 at approximately 12:09 a.m., the victim was standing in the front yard of 6010 1st Street in Wimauma watching fireworks when he was shot in the arm by an unknown suspect.  Law enforcement believe that the victim may have been shot as a result of Celebratory Gun Fire.

FHP Troopers Search for Hit & Run Driver in Ruskin (2017/01/01)

On December 31, 2016 at approximately 7:20 p.m., a Chevrolet SUV was traveling southbound on US Highway 41 in the inside lane, south of State Road 674 in Ruskin.  A 13 yoa male was riding his bicyclist across US Highway 41 from west to east, south of the marked crosswalk.  The left front of the SUV struck the bicycle, causing injuries to the juvenile.  The driver of the SUV failed to stop and continued traveling southbound on US Highway 41.  The suspect vehicle was described as a 2000-2006 Chevrolet Suburban, green in color and law enforcement believe it should have damage near the left front headlight.

Pasco Deputies Search for Burglary Suspect(s) (2016/12/30)

On December 15, 2016 at approximately 5:15 am, unknown suspects(s) broke into the American Legion Post 173 by cutting a hole in the roof.  They made their way through the attic area and cut a second hole in the ceiling which led to a small office.  The suspect(s) then entered into the office and took a small safe containing approximately $10,000.00 in cash.  The suspect(s) fled the business using the same method they used to enter.  Once outside, the suspect(s) were picked up by a Toyota Tundra, red in color at which time they fled eastbound on Bartelt Road.  To view the surveillance video visit our Facebook page.

TPD Detectives Work to Identify Suspect (2016/12/30)

Recently, an unknown suspect smashed the rear passenger window of a vehicle that was parked at the LA Fitness located at 301 Dale Mabry Highway South in Tampa and personal items were taken.  Shortly after the burglary, an unknown female was captured on surveillance video using the victim`s stolen debit card at the Walmart on Gandy Boulevard and Manhattan Avenue.  The black female is believed to be 30-40 yoa, thin with a light complexion.

On December 22, 2016 at 10:47 a.m., an unknown white male took the victim`s purse from her possession while in the Winn Dixie located at 1640 US Highway 19 in Holiday.  The suspect fled the store northbound on foot through the parking lot.  He is described as a white male, 5`11", 170lbs., short brown hair and last seen wearing a dark colored hooded sweatshirt and light colored pants.  The suspect was captured on store surveillance footage.

TPD Detectives Work to Identify Burglary Suspect (2016/12/16)

On October 28, 2016 at approximately 5:00 a.m., an unknown black male broke into the Big Wash Coin Laundry located at Wates Avenue East in Tampa.  The suspect was caught on surveillance video attempting to break into the change machine inside.  The suspect caused approximately $1,500 in damage, however, he did not obtain any cash from the machine before he fled.

An unknown white male entered the Old Northeast Jewelers at 2223 Westshore Boulevard North inside International Mall.  After he looked at some jewelry, the suspect grabbed two watches and fled the store.  The suspect is described as a white male, in his mid-to-late 20`s, between 5`08" and 5`10", 160-170 lbs., light complexion, black hair and facial stubble.

On 12/12/16 at approximately 10:22 a.m., an unknown black male approached the victim at 20th Street North and Fletcher Avenue East in Tampa and stole items from her.  The suspect ran eastbound through the Avesta Apartment Complex located at 13133 20th Street North.  The black male suspect is described as being 6`04", 220 lbs., short afro, full beard and last seen wearing a white windbreaker jacket, black gym shorts with red stripes and red/black sneakers.

TPD Detectives Search for Fatal Hit & Run Driver (2016/12/15)

On 12/14/16 at approximately 11:37 p.m., a pedestrian walking on North Nebraska Avenue near East Crawford Street in Tampa was struck by a vehicle.  As the victim laid in the southbound lanes of the roadway, he was struck by a second vehicle whose driver failed to stop.  The victim, who died as a result of his injuries, was identified as Willie James Bacon Jr., 52 yoa.  The suspect vehicle is believed to be a full-size, light colored, Lincoln or Ford/Mercury sedan.

TPD Detectives Investigate Homicide of Victim Found Dead in His Home (2016/12/13)

During the evening hours of December 12, 2016, TPD officers discovered the victim, William L. McGoff, 53 yoa, dead in his home at 4928 Chariton Avenue in Tampa.  At this time, investigators believe that McGoff was murdered by unknown suspect(s).  McGoff`s 2013 Hyundai, black in color, bearing FL tag 113VFT, is now missing.

HCSO Detectives Seek Information in Homicide (2016/12/09)

On December 7, 2016 at approximately 4:00 am, deputies were notified via Shot Spotter Activation that shots were heard in the area of 15th Street and Gragston Circle in Tampa.  Deputies discovered a male victim laying in the parking lot of the Revere Landings Apartment complex located at 1802 French Creek Drive.  The victim had sustained more than one gun shot wound and died at the hospital as a result of his injuries.  The victim was identified as Antonio Lamar Bradshaw, 9/13/1982.

Law Enforcement Investigators Seek Assistance From the Public To Identify Serial Arson Suspect(s) (2016/12/07)

Investigators with the Hillsborough County Sheriff`s Office, Plant City Police Department, Hillsborough County Fire Rescue and State Fire Marshall`s Office are requesting the public`s assistance to help identify the suspect(s) responsible for the arson that occurred at the below locations.  The arson investigations began on November 13, 2016.  Detectives have developed a possible suspect vehicle and it is described as an older Toyota or Nissan with shiny rims and a rear spoiler with a loud exhaust.

On December 3, 2016 at approximately 2:10 a.m., an unknown black male approached a female near her vehicle in the 900 block of Howard Avenue South in Tampa.  The male came up behind the victim and struck her in the head, then pushed her into her car.  The suspect drove the victim`s vehicle away with her inside.  The suspect robbed the victim, then left her with her vehicle.  The victim sustained minor injuries.  The suspect was captured on surveillance video and is described as a heavy set black male, short hair, beard and was wearing a hooded sweatshirt and dark athletic shoes.

On December 2, 2016 at 11:16 am, an unknown white male entered the Fifth Third Bank located at 16509 Fishhawk Boulevard in Lithia.  The suspect presented a note to a teller demanding money.  The suspect was described as a white male, 5`08", 150-160lbs., thin build with a very fair complexion and was seen wearing blue jeans, gray sweatshirt with a camouflage fleece style shirt underneath and black sneakers.  After the suspect received cash, he fled the bank by walking west through the parking lot.

TPD Detectives Are Looking For Burglary Suspect (2016/12/02)

On November 28, 2016 between 5:41 am and 6:02 am, an unknown black male entered the Cars of Tampa lot located at 10409 Florida Avenue North.  The suspect rode a white women`s bicycle around the lot then entered two unlocked vehicles.  No property was taken.  The suspect was then seen on surveillance video walking his bicycle and pressure washer to the front of the property.  He then walked north on Florida Avenue to hide the bicycle.  The suspect returned to the lot and attempted to enter additional vehicles.  When the suspect began to flee with the pressure washer, the business audible alarm sounded and the suspect fled on foot southbound toward Bougainvillea Avenue East. 

The suspect is described as a black male, approximately 5`09", 160-170lbs., medium complexion, thin goatee and was wearing a dark colored jacket, light colored cargo pants, black Jordan sneakers and a blue/white skull cap.

PCPD Detectives Ask for Information in Stabbing (2016/11/29)

STATUS: SOLVED

On November 28, 2016 at 1:17 p.m., a male was seen stabbing a female near a gray Nissan Quest that was stopped in the 2700 block of Sammonds Road in Plant City.  The victim was stabbed multiple times in her upper body.  She has been identified as Rocio Becerra, 31 yoa.  Becerra died as a result of the injuries she sustained.  The suspect fled the scene in the victim`s vehicle, which was later found abandoned and recovered by law enforcement.  Witnesses described the Hispanic male suspect as being in his 20`s to 30`s, 5`08", medium build and having dark hair.
